Haven't been blogging because I've been working on my thesis this summer which is somewhat contradictory... my thesis is on Neo-Liberlism and it's Impact on Poverty. huh? I rant on the government, corruption, propaganda, consumerism, the media, etc, etc. And here I am blogging about meaningless, empty, & futile fashion tips. While it's just for fun, many times I still question myself. hmmm...
Need unplug more often. When you think about how much we're on the computer...it's frightening. People are obsessed, consumed, absorbed, and controlled by Facebook,YouTube, Celebrity News, Reality TV etc, etc... (I refuse to have cable, you should try it) There is going to be severe social consequences. We are so disconnected. *sigh* For now, My conclusion: find balance.

I can't stop listening to: Penny & the Quarters "You & Me"! This is one of my fave songs off all time. The song came out in Blue Valentine. It's wild, they never recorded any other songs and the song just now surfaced since it appeared in the film. They've been trying to locate any living relatives of the artists so that they can collect royalties but haven't had any luck. I love it, I listen to it over & over & over.

What is owling?:Owling is an internet meme that is becoming popular on the heels of planking, another popular meme that was centered mostly on Facebook. As the term implies, owling means perching on something the way an owl does. An owler is, well, someone who does owling - just a human being acting like an owl.
